The guys have cut the very overgrown trees in my garden this morning. Matt came over for an initial view of the garden and asked what we needed doing, advised the best way of doing it which was really informative and specific to the trees in my garden. They came over a week and a half later and sorted out everything just as asked and I'm so grateful, I've got loads of light back in my garden, the trees are still big and beautiful, everything was left tidy and it was all done in a morning.

Matt and his team were fantastic from start to finish. They arrived early on day one, fully equipped for what looked like a major expedition! Over the course of two days, they tackled a dead 60-year-old monkey puzzle tree and a conifer, removing branches and reducing the height of both. The team's work ethic was incredible. On an unusually warm February day, they had the conifer branches down and chipped by 10 am. Moving onto the monkey puzzle tree was no small feat—it was dense, dusty, prickly, and even a swarm of midges didn't slow them down. Even when the weather turned to rain on the second day, they pushed through until the job was done. What really stood out was their professionalism. Matt and the crew were polite, communicative, and left the garden incredibly tidy after hauling away what felt like a never-ending amount of chippings. For the amount of hard work involved, I found the price to be very reasonable. I highly recommend them for any challenging tree work!

Matt and his team were great. We have a wonderful mature oak tree in the back garden that needed cutting back quite a bit. Squirrels nest in it. We love the squirrels. We hoped the tree surgeons wouldn't disturb them or drive them away. We needn't have worried! Even our neighbours commented on how quiet they were. You know the usual gasoline-powered chain saws? The ones that when you use them it sounds like a motorbike gang has arrived in your backyard? Matt and his team don't use those. They use ever-so-quiet electric chain saws. The squirrels weren't at all worried and were back frolicking the next day, as usual. Our tree looks very happy; as if it has had a lovely haircut.

Matt was quick to respond and visit to provide a quote. He was then able to undetake the job is good time. Really easy to communicate and plan. Him and the team were very professional. The tree removal was done to a high standard and clear up was great.

I’ve used Matt and his team twice now. The first time to take 3 conifers and an ash tree down from a small front garden . The second time to shape a large conifer and remove a tree from my back garden. Matt is very professional to deal with, arrived on the date arranged and kept me informed on any changes in time of arrival. His team worked quickly and efficiently and were a pleasure to have around. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company and will certainly use them in the future.

We've just had a mature oak tree pollarded by Alderwood and have been very impressed by the professionalism and efficiency of the whole team. They gave good advice about what needed doing to the tree and quoted a very competitive price. The work was done exactly as they promised and the site was left really tidy.
