Privacy policy

Gardener Compare (gardenercompare.co.uk) lists gardeners, landscapers and tree surgeons operating across the UK, together with their Google reviews, so that homeowners can compare local tradespeople before getting in touch. This notice explains how we treat personal data connected with your visit; the site is contactable at [email protected] for any privacy matter.

Your legal rights Because we are established for UK visitors, the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 apply to how we handle your data. These give you rights to access, correct or erase your personal data, and to object to processing you disagree with. Any of these rights can be exercised by emailing the address above. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk.

Technical data from your browser There's no need to register or submit personal information to browse our listings. Even so, each time you load a page your browser passes along basic technical details - IP address, browser type and the page requested - which our servers log automatically. We rely on these logs purely to keep the site working and secure.

Cookies and interest-based ads This website may use cookies both to measure how it's used and to serve advertising. Advertising partners, Google included, may use these cookies to show you ads based on your browsing interests across different sites. You can manage or switch off this kind of personalised advertising at myadcenter.google.com, and your browser also offers cookie controls.

How we source our listings Gardeners, landscaping firms and tree surgeons shown on this site are gathered from publicly available Google Maps information, including their reviews, and this information is refreshed periodically. A business owner who spots incorrect details, or who would rather not be listed, can email us to have the entry corrected or removed.

Links away from this site Some pages link to the websites of individual gardeners and tradespeople, and to third-party sites such as Google Maps itself. Once you leave gardenercompare.co.uk we have no control over, or responsibility for, how those other sites handle your data.
