Hunton Tree Surgeons

Hunton Tree Surgeons is a tree surgery company based in Lowdham, Nottinghamshire, and operates across Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. The director is Mark Hunton. The team holds MSc, BSc and BA qualifications, along with Lantra and NPCT awards. The company is aligned with Arboricultural Association (2022) standards, and its work meets and aims to exceed British Standards BS3998: 2010 and BS5837: 2012. Commercial services are provided regionally and nationally, with clients including hospitals, property development and management firms, charities, highways, farmland, scouts, colleges and universities.

The company maintains a diverse portfolio including protected tree (TPO) programmes, full site clearances and woodland management. It operates machinery including cranes, mobile work platforms (MEWP), diggers, Unimogs, Manitous and tractors. All waste generated is removed from the property; branches are chipped and used for purposes including general purpose pathways at allotments or biofuel for energy companies. The company offers advice, consultations and tree surveys with no obligation, and manages projects from liaising with authorities and planning consultation through to project conclusion. Main services include tree pruning and tree removal.

Clear communication and follow-through from initial enquiry to completed job stand out as the most consistent theme among customers of this Lenton-based tree surgery. Mark is named in nearly every account, with reviewers describing him as approachable, quick to respond to queries and willing to explain pruning, felling or pollarding methods before starting work.

Jobs mentioned include crown reduction and reshaping of large trees, felling of diseased or oversized specimens, hedge trimming, grapevine pruning, and cutting back growth encroaching on power lines, with a new tree planted in one case after removal. Several customers note that permissions or paperwork with the council were handled on the client's behalf, and that payment was only requested once the finished work had been reviewed and approved. Working alongside colleagues including Matthew, James and Chris, the team is described as tidy, taking all cuttings and waste away and leaving gardens neater than before arrival.

Flexibility around budget and willingness to complete an additional small job free of charge also feature in more than one account. Based at Lenton Lane, the company operates every day of the week with no fixed closing time listed, which several reviewers link to the ease of arranging appointments. Reliability and personable service run consistently through the feedback shared about this Nottingham-area business.
