We'd like to thank Jonny and Jayden for completely transforming our garden with a new patio, steps and raised beds! Jonny was very thorough from our first meeting, talking through our ideas and giving us various options to align with our budget, and staying in touch/answering our questions ahead of the job starting. The design evolved over time but they took my rough sketch and created a beautiful new garden that turned out even better than we imagined. They were always on time and the job was reasonably priced considering the amount of hard work and effort they both put in. It's clear they both take pride in their work and this is shown in the results they achieve. We'd highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to use them again for future work. Thank you!

I contacted Johnny through a google search conduct a a garden clean for my rented property. He visited the property and provided a quote which was accepted for a two-day work schedule. The work ended up into 5 days due to the unexpected challenges. Johnny and his colleagues, Charlie and Chris worked hard to restore the garden to a much-needed loving state that was neglected by the tenants over a period. Got in contact over a month ago, kept being left on read and being told the garden would be sorted asap but no date or time was ever given, very poor communication skills and quite rude saying we would have to wait longer or find someone else. Would not recommend them to anyone.

After speaking to a friend about having a new length of fencing installed at the back of my garden, he recommended Jonny from JR Downs Garden Home Maintenance, as he had some work done previously and couldn't recommend him enough. A quick Google search also gave me some confidence so I called up, and Jonny came over the following day at around 18:00 (he told me that was the earliest he could get over and to be honest, I was impressed with his dedication to get over to me as soon as he could) after measuring up he explained that he would provide a quote baaed on my requirements the following day and, true to his word, the quote came though to my email the following evening. Surprisingly I was expecting the price to be more than he quoted and it seemed very reasonable. Added to this that another chap quoted me without coming to the house based on measurements I gave him when I called, and that quote was higher, and another landscaper didn't turn up when they said they would, using Jonny's services was almost meant to be! So I pulled the trigger and asked for the work to be carried out, which he managed to fit in, in just under two weeks from the date he quoted me (he said he had a big job to finish and would move on to my job after, I had no reason to disbelieve him as he came across as 100% honest, plus I can imagine how busy good landscape gardeners can get). True to his word, the work commenced as planned and all I can say is, wow! The fence looks absolutely brilliant and I could not be more chuffed! It was the attention to detail that I was really impressed with, for example ensuring the top of the fence panels aligned with the top of the concrete posts, something Jonny said some landscape gardeners don't seem to do. I was slightly doubtful about this, that was until I took my dogs for a walk on our estate and noticed that Jonny was in fact correct; the amount of fences I noticed where the tops of the posts where at almost random heights compared to the panels was surprising. Something not really noticed in the day to day, but once you see it, you can't unsee it! I would wholeheartedly recommend Jonny to anyone who needs any gardening / landscaping work for his honesty, knowledge, dedication to getting the job done as soon as he can, pricing and overall personality. Nothing was too difficult and any questions asked were answered professionally and with courtesy. I'll not hesitate to use Jonny again in the future.
