Oakwood Tree Services

Oakwood Tree Services is a small, family business operating as tree surgeons in Leeds. Staff are trained to NPTC standards and the company holds full £5m liability insurance. It serves homes and businesses across Leeds and West Yorkshire, and works with local companies on all its projects. A team member named Steve is mentioned in a customer review. Main services include tree felling, chipping, crown reduction, removal, stump grinding, hedge work and storm damage repair.

In Roundhay, on Talbot Rd in Leeds, this tree surgeon has built a strong local reputation for tidy, dependable work on hedges and trees of all sizes. Steve and his team feature prominently in customer accounts, with several homeowners describing repeat visits over multiple years for hedge trimming, crown work and full tree removal. A theme running through the feedback is punctuality, with crews arriving as promised and setting to work without delay, and gardens and driveways left spotless afterwards, waste cleared completely rather than left in piles.

Jobs mentioned include removing a large tree from a back garden, trimming a bay tree and monkey puzzle, cutting back overgrown hedges, and identifying a dangerous fault in a roadside maple before carrying out prompt remedial work. Customers also note being given practical advice on ongoing tree management, with one reporting that treated trees had visibly recovered well by the following summer.

Communication about cost and the scope of work before jobs begin is described as clear, avoiding surprises once the team is on site. Same-day quotes and quick turnarounds are mentioned more than once, useful for anyone needing work sorted without a long wait. Operating hours cover every day of the week, giving flexibility for scheduling around other commitments in the Roundhay area.
