REW Cotterill Tree Works

Householders in Edinburgh requiring tree surgery and forestry work have described a consistent experience, covering jobs such as clearing an established hedge before fencing could be installed, trimming three trees, raising two large beech specimens and pruning and deadwooding mature fruit trees. Customers repeatedly mention that the finished result looked natural, with trimmed trees still resembling trees rather than stumps, and that even the smallest debris, down to individual leaves, was cleared away. Tidiness recurs as a theme: reviewers note that all mess was removed and that sites were left clean and tidy, including during poor weather.

Pricing is described as competitive and fair, and the work is characterised as professional, skilled and conscientious. Communication is praised, with one account describing how the team noticed a nesting blackbird, divided the job into two stages and returned to complete the second after the birds had gone, an approach seen as considerate of wildlife rather than profit. Richard, named as Rich, is credited personally for the standard of work. Several customers have returned for repeat jobs, and the same care is described across hedge clearing, fencing preparation, tree trimming, pruning and deadwooding.
