The Gosforth Tree Surgeon

The Gosforth Tree Surgeon was established in 2001 by arborist Stuart Murray. The company is based in the Gosforth area of Newcastle upon Tyne and serves domestic and commercial clients throughout the North East of England. Work is carried out by a crew of fully trained and qualified woodsmen.

The company is CSCS qualified and holds £5 million of insurance cover. All work conforms to BS 3998:2010 Recommendations for Tree Work and BS 5837:2005 Trees in Relation to Construction. The company provides tree and hedge work.

Felling, thinning and full removal jobs feature heavily in feedback for this Gosforth operation, with customers recalling everything from a thirty to forty foot conifer taken down to garden trees reduced within a single hour on site. Stuart, who runs the team, is named consistently throughout the reviews, and several customers highlight how swiftly he moves from initial quotation to a booked, completed job, sometimes within a day or two of first getting in touch.

Pricing comes up repeatedly as fair and competitive, with more than one customer noting his figure undercut other local quotes they had gathered beforehand. Politeness and thoroughness of clean-up are mentioned again and again, with cuttings and debris cleared so completely that gardens are left looking untouched by the work. Punctuality is another recurring theme, with the crew arriving as arranged both for the initial visit and the job itself.

One customer in Gosforth described the whole process as prompt and tidy from quote through to finish, while another said clearing a large conifer finally opened up space to plan the rest of the garden. Feedback spans well over a decade, pointing to a long-standing presence in the area, with jobs regularly turned around within a day or so of the quotation and customers consistently describing the results as neat, safe and good value.
