The Lawn Business is a family-owned, independent lawn care business based in Manchester. Tim McNamara founded the business in 2020, having previously spent over 23 years as a corporate finance lawyer. He trained with various lawn businesses around the country, including attending two week-long residential courses with Lawn & Weed Expert in Cardiff, and holds PA1 and PA6AW spraying qualifications.
The business specialises in renovating and maintaining lawns with a core focus on the environment and sustainability, and is a member of the UK Lawn Care Association. It provides lawn treatment programmes, moss and weed control, seasonal lawn care, and eco-friendly options.

Tim provides an excellent service. He lets me know the day before and payment is very easy through online banking. Our lawn has not looked this good since it was laid!! We definitely recommend him.
Although Tim came highly recommended by a neighbour, we weren’t convinced that anything could be done to revive a brown and patchy ‘lawn’ that had been neglected for many years. How wrong we were! Tim spent half a day scarifying, treating and reseeding and within 2-3 short weeks we now have a lush, green and healthy looking lawn. Tim is a true professional. He gave expert advice throughout the process and visited when he said he would (access to the rear of the house is only available through the property so he couldn’t just visit ‘on spec’). We are so pleased with the results that we’ve since arranged ongoing visits to ensure that the lawn is maintained to the standard that it should be. We highly recommend “The Lawn Business”.

Tim has been looking after my lawn in didsbury for some time now and it’s always looking excellent. The treatment cycles and preparation through winter, spring, summer and autumn always keeps it in great condition. I can highly recommend Tim and The Lawn Business if you want a great looking lawn!
Tim has been great for us and our lawn. We’d been struggling for a few years to get it back to life post a puppy destroying it, but it’s been totally transformed this year and we are really pleased with it. It makes everything else in the garden look so much better too. Well worth the money on a too often neglected crucial element of a property!
Tim has been attending to our front a back lawn now fir approx 18 months and its been transformed from what was a patchy quiltwork of unpleasant shades and moss, into a lush green space. Thanks for your hard work Tim. Would highly recommend!
