Yealm Lawns and Hedges

Yealm Lawns and Hedges is a family business based in Yealmpton. Andy and Joe are named as the people who serve regular customers. The business serves the South Hams area, including Wembury, Plymstock, Elburton, Brixton, Ivybridge and Yealmpton. It offers a free garden and lawn visit assessment.

It provides a one-off visit to tidy lawns, gardens and shrubs. It offers regular weekly, fortnightly or monthly visits to mow, cut, trim and edge lawns. Its services include lawn mowing, edging and cutting, lawn trimming, mow and blow, lawn scarification (moss removal), hedge and shrub trimming, and garden, banks and ground strimming.

Hedge cutting and lawn care dominate the feedback for this team working out of Bowithick near Yealmpton, on the edge of Plymouth. Andy and his son Joe are consistently named, with clients describing them as trustworthy, competitively priced and easy to deal with over repeat bookings. Large hedges, including beech and laurel, are trimmed thoroughly with cuttings cleared away rather than left behind.

Lawns that had become wet, weed-ridden or heavily overgrown are brought back into good order, with several accounts noting the transformation happened quickly even in poor weather. A number of customers mention first contacting the pair after noticing the standard of work carried out next door, pointing to a strong local reputation built through neighbouring gardens. Strimming of banks, borders and edges around driveways or kerbs is also noted, often as an extra touch beyond the original request.

Several reviewers highlight being fitted in at short notice when needed. Communication throughout jobs is described as friendly and straightforward, and multiple clients confirm they have since arranged ongoing seasonal visits rather than a single one-off tidy. Weekday hours run from eight until five, with Saturday appointments available until four for households wanting hedge or lawn work scheduled around the working week.
