If I could leave 0 stars I would. I assume it was Graham himself I dealt with (older guy). No mention of what time they were coming to mow my lawn. I had some old laminate flooring in the entryway and a bbq which can easily be moved. He knocked the door and I came straight down - I was in the shower - I asked him to give me a couple of minutes and I would come down and move it (there wasn’t much there maybe 10-15 planks at most). When I came down he’d started moving it and said “oh come on and sighed” to which I said “what” and he said “are we going to have to move all of this every time” I replied “no, I moved in two weeks ago and it will be going to the tip this weekend” he said “the guys had to move it all last time” to which I said “no they didn’t, they came in through the house to do a quote and that was it” to which he carried on throwing bits of wood around and then he threw what he was holding on the floor and said “you can keep it” and walked off back to his van. Absolutely APPALLING attitude from a business and 100% would not recommend - it’s a shame as his son and employees are lovely, perhaps he needs to retire if he cannot fix his attitude. Seems they’ve registered as another company called Grahams mowing - assuming that’s because of the poor reviews on this business!
Used Rob and team for many years. Started very well but then became terrible. Lawn was rushed, barely cut properly and not strimmed. When I told Rob he seemed happy to lose the business rather than put it right.
Left a mess on the drive. Asked them to clean and got sworn at. They finally attempted to clean up by blowing all the mess back onto the property they were working at and left it
The positive point is that they came regularly without fail. The main negative point is a lack of flexibility, in particular: 1) There was no flexibility to mow less often than fortnightly. 2) There was no flexibility to to do any other gardening. 3) There was no flexibility when the lawn didn't need mowing to skip a week or do other gardening instead of mowing. They came to the property and pushed the mower around a bare garden rather than spending the time on something more useful. I didn't mind paying them, but I would have liked to pay them to do something that actually needed doing. 4) More expensive than some other firms.
I have used GR mowing for just over a year as they took over the pervious company I used. The service had been good at the start and friendly staff. However I feel as they have grown the professional service has gone. It’s seems to be more about number of cuts rather than quality of service. When questioned about the quality of the cut they prefer to cut off the service then talk with the customer. So customer service is very low on their priority list.
Wouldn't recommend. My father in law was ill and just out of the hospital and wasn't able to unlock rear gate to allow them in to mow. They charged £40 just for coming out. Spoke with them on phone several times to explain situation. Very rude. Now they sued for £1000 !!! Father in law had since passed away. It didn't help that they kept phoning him for payment, knowing he was very ill!
