Hi, we had Darren, Maplewood Landscapes, 20 years ago to design our patio and garden and was very happy. We contacted Darren again in April to come and give advice on a larger patio and less grass seeing as we were so happy 20 years ago . We were very happy with Darrens new ideas and he gave us a start date. The lads Danny and Mike worked really hard in exhausting temperatures to build our new Patio. We chose Indian Sandstone and thanks to Darren chose a colour that he recommended and gosh the finish is amazing. We would highly recommend Darren and his team Danny and Mike to anyone thinking of looking for new ideas for a patio. We even had a new lawn laid in the end as our lawn looked tired and drab. We had Darren from Maplewood Landscapes down to give us a quotation for renewing the patio at the rear of our garden and extending it backwards where we had already had mature, tall leylandii trees removed from along the back fence area, but the large tree stumps remained. Darren recommended T & S Tree & Garden Services to remove the tree stumps before the patio could be prepared and laid. We also mentioned to Darren that we were interested in having a pergola erected on the new patio area. Darren was once again able to recommend a contractor in Bluebell Joinery Services. He explained that Simon from Bluebell Joinery would be able to build us any shape, size or specification we wanted and showed us numerous photos where Maplewood Landscapes had laid patios and where Simon had built bespoke wooden structures and cladding etc for the same customers. Darren explained all the different options of paving available and the need for drainage around the paving. We were very impressed with Darren and had decided even before the quotation had arrived that it was Maplewood that we wanted to do the work. We were not disappointed in our choice, Darren, Danny and Mike are a very professional and friendly team and a pleasure to have at our home. Our project turned out not to be straight forward as the land for the extended patio to the rear was extremely uneven, contained lots of long and strong tree roots and a lot of rubble and broken bricks. Darren, Danny and Mike were great, and not once did they mention the extra workload which could not have been forseen before the tree stumps were removed. The customer care from Maplewood was outstanding, and we were consulted at every stage of the work. We are so pleased that we chose Maplewood to do the work in our garden and feel extremely grateful for the excellent contractors that Darren recommended to us who have all been excellent. Because Darren personally knew and worked with them regularly the coordination of the different trades were perfect. Darren & his team Mike & Dan did an amazing job of replacing our back garden patio and transforming our front garden into a parking place and the result is beyond our expectations.
