Just want to warn people because I’m honestly absolutely heartbroken over this 😭 I bought this van for £4500 and basically put everything I had into it after selling my car because I need a van to be able to work I’m a single mum and I explained my situation to him when I went to buy it I told him I didn’t have loads of money and that I really needed something reliable because without a vehicle I can’t work and earn money I even spoke to him about how much I needed to be able to trust him and I genuinely believed I could The van was advertised as a “great runner” and “all around good little van” and said it had new brakes all around it seemed fine when I test drove it and there was nothing that made me think I was about to have all of these problems The following morning I got in it and the dash lit up like a Christmas tree 😭 when I contacted him about it he then admitted in writing that the warning lights had always been on and that he already knew about the ABS fault and actually said “that’s why I never got it done” NONE of this was written in the advert or told to me before I handed over £4500 Then today within about an hour of driving it and less than 24 hours after buying it the van has now gone into limp mode so I have to take it into the garage tomorrow to find out what else is wrong with it I now can’t work while this is happening and I’m having to find even more money that I genuinely don’t have to pay for diagnostics and whatever repairs it needs I’ve tried to be reasonable with him I said he could take the van back and refund me or if he didn’t want to do that then at least give me a partial refund towards getting the van repaired but he won’t even do that he told me it was sold as seen basically said do what you want and has now blocked me And to top everything off when I bought it he had left a car bonnet various alloys loads of scrap wood and scrap metal in the back of the van for me to deal with as well when I asked him the following day if he would pay the removal fee to have his stuff taken away he refused and told me to just get a scrap metal man to come and collect it I honestly just cannot believe someone would do this knowing my situation and knowing I had sold my car and put basically everything I had into buying this van so I could carry on working and supporting my child £4500 is a massive amount of money to me and now less than 24 hours later I’ve got a van in limp mode that has to go into a garage I can’t work and I’m facing even more costs I’ve also seen that he regularly advertises cars and vans for sale on Facebook Marketplace and after my experience I personally would NEVER buy another vehicle from him and I would never recommend anyone I know to buy a vehicle from him either He also runs a construction company and personally after the way I’ve been treated through all of this I wouldn’t feel comfortable using his company either that is obviously my own opinion based on my experience dealing with him I’ve got screenshots of the original advert all of our messages and him admitting in his own words that the lights had always been on and that he already knew about the fault before selling it to me so thankfully I’ve kept evidence of everything I’m honestly absolutely gutted I bought this van to try and earn a living not to end up unable to work and potentially spending thousands putting right problems I knew nothing about I just can’t believe someone could know my situation take £4500 from me and then when things start going wrong less than 24 hours later refuse to even help towards the repairs and block me 😭 Please just be really careful who you trust when buying privately because I genuinely wouldn’t wish the stress I’ve had today on anyone

Highly recommend Roger and Matt! The whole process from quote to to deposit, getting a receipt for amounts paid, to work being done was brilliant. If you've had work done before, you know it's not uncommon to come across surprises (in my case once old pavers were removed, the previous patio had over 1ft deep concrete poured for most of the patio meaning hardcover had to be built up instead of replacing) and Roger was good at letting me know the what and why and working out options for adjustments made as we went. Hint: they absolutely love jammy dodgers so if you're serving drinks and snacks, be sure to have some in!

Roger and his team are absolutely amazing, professional and hardworking. When he says it’ll be done ,he means it !. Fully Cleaned up after themselves too 🤩 highly recommend

Fabulous team. I do not hesitate to recommend. The garden was a dreadful mess following the incessant rain. We are both elderly and disabled and garden maintenance is beyond our capabilities. Although the wet weather continues, Roger and Matt worked tirelessly to prune, weed and jet wash the patio, walls and shed. New gravel has been laid, and all is now neat and tidy and ready for us to enjoy the summer...if it ever comes. Thank you both very much indeed. We hope to see you again later this year.
