Hampshire Lawncraft

Hampshire Lawncraft is an independent lawn care specialist. The founder is Ben Westen, who previously had a career in medical physics. The company provides lawn care services across most of Southern Hampshire, including Southampton, North Portsmouth, Winchester, and the Meon Valley. It offers tailored lawn care plans and a free appraisal.

Hampshire Lawncraft, based on Botley Road in Horton Heath, is described by clients as a dependable presence in their gardens, with some accounts spanning care that began back in 2017. A theme that comes up often is the scale of transformation achieved, turning tired, threadbare or moss ridden lawns choked with weeds into lush, fuller and largely weed-free areas, in some cases within a single year of treatment beginning.

Ben is named throughout as the person carrying out the work, and reviewers often mention his depth of knowledge, his habit of explaining each stage in plain terms, and advice offered on products, including organic options, without any pressure to buy extras. Reliability and courtesy feature strongly too, with clients noting his professional manner and the trust built up over years of repeat visits. Several accounts mention neighbours remarking on how noticeably a lawn has improved after ongoing care, with results often visible after just a couple of visits.

The business keeps weekday hours from nine until five, with Saturday appointments available until three in the afternoon for those unable to arrange visits during the working week. A number of clients say they have not sought out another lawn care provider since starting a programme with this business, having watched their lawns turn from a poor state into a genuine showpiece.
