Louis Whittaker Tree Services

Louis Whittaker Tree Services is an owner-operated tree care business based in Hampshire, serving Southampton and the surrounding area. The business has over 10 years of local hands-on experience. It is fully insured and follows the British Standard for Tree Work. Louis conducts estimate visits himself. Services include tree removal, crown reduction, crown raising, stump removal, hedge cutting and trimming, planting, and emergency tree service.

Domestic jobs involving overgrown hedgerows and trees blocking light dominate the feedback for Louis Whittaker Tree Services, working from Gauntlet Drive in Netley. Customers who have used the firm repeatedly over several years highlight guidance on whether a tree or hedge should be reduced or taken out entirely, and a consistently neat finish once cuttings and sawdust have been cleared.

Work mentioned includes cutting a twelve foot holly hedge back to six feet, trimming several hundred feet of hedging across a terrace of houses within a single day, felling mature conifers followed by stump grinding, and crown reduction carried out to restore light to a garden. Speed of response comes up often, including one account of Louis arriving within fifteen minutes to help free a cat stuck high in a tree. Consideration for neighbouring gardens and family members is noted repeatedly, along with the use of proper safety equipment during pruning and felling.

Pricing is described as reasonable given the scope of the work, and multiple customers mention going on to recommend the business to neighbours, some of whom then booked jobs themselves. With no fixed opening hours and availability every day of the week, scheduling appears straightforward for households across the Southampton area needing tree or hedge work arranged at short notice.
