Wildwood Treecare

Wildwood Treecare is a tree surgery business founded by Peter Carlyon in 2010. In 2018, Peter's cousin Tom joined as a partner, making it a family enterprise. Peter Carlyon holds a Technicians Certificate in Arboriculture. All staff are fully trained and have NPTC qualifications relevant to their work. Work is carried out in accordance with BS3998: 2010 Recommendations for Tree Work.

The company is fully insured up to £10 million Public Liability and £10 million Employer's Liability, covered by Trust Insurance. It operates throughout Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Somerset. Wildwood Treecare is a trading name of Wildwood Treecare Bristol Ltd. The business has over 18 years in the arboricultural industry. Services include tree pruning, tree removal, hedge trimming, stump grinding, tree planting, and emergency tree works.

In Clifton, on Oakfield Road, Wildwood Treecare has built a strong reputation for careful, considerate tree work across Bristol gardens. Recurring feedback points to jobs including crown reduction, hedge trimming, tree felling in restricted spaces near houses, and pruning of species such as yew, whitebeam and laurel. Homeowners writing about their projects describe the team, including Tom, as punctual, friendly and knowledgeable, with quotes given fairly before work begins.

A point that comes up often is the thoroughness of the clear-up afterwards, with sites left clean and branches pulped or removed rather than left in situ. Reviewers also note that dangerous or awkwardly placed trees, including specimens overhanging annexes or close to buildings, have been removed safely and without damage to nearby structures. Attention to wildlife during pruning is mentioned more than once, alongside praise for transforming neglected or overgrown trees and hedges into healthier, better-shaped specimens.

Repeat custom features strongly, with some clients returning for a second or third job over several years and recommending the firm to family and friends. Comparisons with other local tree companies tend to favour Wildwood on communication and reliability. The business operates every day of the week, offering flexibility for scheduling work around the Clifton area and wider Bristol gardens.
