Darcy Ltd - Tree Surgery & Arboriculture

Darcy Ltd provides tree surgery and arboricultural consultancy services across Birmingham, Solihull, and surrounding areas. The team is fully qualified with relevant NPTC units and diplomas, DBS checked, and fully insured. Services include tree felling, site clearing, stump grinding, garden clearing, and grounds maintenance.

Pruning techniques include pollarding, coppicing, crown reducing, deadwooding, crown thinning, and formative pruning. A crown reduction typically involves removing 10% to 30% of each branch to achieve an overall reduction in canopy size. The team uses specialist lifting and removal equipment to safely remove or prune trees from restricted spaces with minimal disturbance. They offer tree condition surveys to support planning permission.

Tree surgery and arboriculture form the core of the work described by customers of Darcy Ltd, whose reviews focus on the removal of large trees, the pruning of overhanging or storm-damaged branches and the grinding of stumps. Various customers describe Callum and his team as hardworking, polite and professional, with communication before, during and after the job singled out as clear and supportive, even when one client's own circumstances delayed arrangements.

Reviewers often mention that the crew worked quickly and efficiently, resolving access difficulties with larger equipment through ingenuity, and that sites were left tidy, with all debris and cuttings cleared away so thoroughly that little trace of the visit remained. Fair and reasonable pricing, competitive quotes and careful, precise cutting around garages and busy roads come up often, and the team is also praised for explaining the available options for dangerous or broken trees. Repeat business is mentioned, alongside storm damage and routine pruning, and the polite, friendly manner of the staff runs through the accounts.
